Russi

Russi, in 1878, was decorated with the title of ‘city’ in honour of LC Farini. It prides itself on a history lasting two thousand years, as confirmed by the archaeological area of Villa Romana. Until medieval times the ‘Faentini’ and the ‘Ravennati’ disputed this territory situated in the centre of a very fertile plain.
Due to it principally being an agricultural centre, after the unification of Italy it developed commercial trade and craftsman industries. Today it is an important agriculturally related industrial and commercial centre.
For the music we will go to Parco della Rocca whose remains consist of a quadrangular tower and another one set on a circular plan.
Today four corner towers of the Castle still exist but only two are visible from the outside: one of which is situated in the Park

At Godo the ERF concert will be in the magnificent Pieve di S. Stefano in Tegurio. The first documentation of its existence dates from 963. Restored after the damage done during the bellicose activity of the last war, it is still very similar to the original building particularly in the central nave with rostral pillars and stone columns with ancient capitals. The main side is original, ornately decorated with pilasters that close the six little windows.
