Riolo Terme has an ancient history and owes its fame above all to its mineral waters, known for their therapeutic properties even in Roman times and still now making it a pleasant spa. The Rocca, together with the old part of the town is delineated by ancient walls.
One of the concerts will be held in the ex Church of San Giovanni Battista, built in 1429 and reconstructed and restored in 1989. This is now used for various purposes and has hosted, among other events, important art exhibitions of national fame.
A different setting for ERF will be the Riolo Golf & Country Club. Surrounded by a striking chalk vein and the green hills of the Tuscan-Romagnolo Apennines, this modern course extends over more than 200 hectars of green uncontaminated land.
