Civitella

At the centre of the Valley of Bidente, where the flow of the river narrows, one comes to Civitella, whose name derives from Latin: Civitatula (citadella = little city).
Even today it is a small town by name and fact but of extreme historic interest (the Castle) and religious interest (The Sanctuary of Madonna della Suasia).
The innermost area of the town is the ancient heart of it and holds memories going back to 10th century.
The ancient Castle will be the venue of the concert. The Castle came into being as a defence for the original walled hamlet on the spur formed by the confluence of the Bidente del Fosso di S. Filippo, in a position that dominates the tracks of the river course in the valley floor.
