Castel San Pietro Terme e Varignana

Founded in 1199 as a fortified castle following the battle of Legnano, Castel San Pietro Terme still carries traces of its impressive past in the mighty Cassero, a massive construction decorated with Guelph merlons, one of the most characteristic points of the town which also has its thermal baths in a fine park, golf courses and the surrounding green areas.

Concerts will be held in the central Piazza XX Settembre, heart of the city overlooked by the eighteenth-century Santuario del Crocefisso, built to house a miraculous cross and in the bell-tower of which may be found 55 bells that can be played by keyboard, unique in Europe.
